NCAA Football (1 Unit) Michigan vs Washington +4.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 6:30 PM CT on ESPN

Lost in the collapse of the Pac12 as a conference is the fact that they were the deepest conference in football this season. Washington made it through that gauntlet unscathed, then ran away from an excellent Texas team until some late shenanigans made it closer than it should’ve been.

Meanwhile, Michigan had one of the softest non-conference schedules imaginable, skated through a relatively weak Big Ten, and miraculously escaped Alabama last week. The Wolverines would have lost that game if Alabama could execute a clean shotgun snap or had receiving weapons that were a threat downfield.

Enter the Huskies, who have the best collective offensive line in the country, and three wide receivers who will play on Sundays. Plus they have an elite, experienced QB in Michael Penix that will be head and shoulders above anything Michigan has seen at the position all year.

This is the same spread Washington saw against Texas, which doesn’t make sense from a transitive/spread projection standpoint. So I think the number is wrong, the matchup favors the Huskies in a lot of ways, and they should stay within this spread if not win outright tonight.
